My new Cambridge Audio CXA81 mkII lacks bass. Now what?

Yes, my new Sonus Faber Lumina V Amator loudspeakers have arrived! And with them, an EverSolo DMP-A6 streamer to complete my system with the Arcam A15 integrated amplifier. Here is a first impression-review. I already had an AudioQuest Yukon interface between my CD-player and amp, and I...

Keeping track of liked acts and albums on Qobuz

Thank you, @nopiano, I'm sure will find my way in the end... I'll try and make my errors in the meantime. It's just that I know it's easier to build up a good system right from the start, than to try to correct one later... Anyway, I understand there's no obvious way that I have overseen...

Keeping track of liked acts and albums on Qobuz

@nopiano That's a great help, I had not yet found the 'Sort by' button. With that I see the names of albums alphabettically. But not the names of composers/acts. Is it possible to edit the list, so I can always start with those names? [Edit:] I found that I can like the artist, so for bands/acts...

Keeping track of liked acts and albums on Qobuz

I'm rather new to streaming. I have signed up for HiRes Qobuz streaming (not downloaded, at least not yet). I now see that I nearly don't use my CD-player anymore, because many of my albums are streamed in a higher resolution. But my CDs were ordered alphabetically... An early beginner's...

My new Cambridge Audio CXA81 mkII lacks bass. Now what?

@gasolin In the studio I turned the volume considerably lower, to the volume I would listen at home (like @Noddy I never really turn the volume up, except once or twice for classical pieces). @nopiano You did reassure me. I merely tried to add this reassurence... :)

My new Cambridge Audio CXA81 mkII lacks bass. Now what?

Yes, my A15 amp gets warm, but normal as my previous Arcam A80 has always done as well. I did not feel the amp after using the Sonus Faber Lumina V Amators. Why did you ask this?

My new Cambridge Audio CXA81 mkII lacks bass. Now what?

@gasolin @abacus @matt49 @Al ears @Noddy Thank you for your reactions. At the risk of being the most fickle member of this community I'll tell you my next step. Yes, yet a next step indeed. But after two weeks of listening to my new combination Arcam A15, Dali Oberon 5 speakers and SVS...

    Amp/Speaker advice

@GBroo Sorry for having hopped to this thread... @nopiano But to conclude that: the stereo RCA interface does the job and finally the sound of the set Arcam A15 / Dali Oberon 5 / SVS SB-2000 Pro is great now for both classical as for rock music! The concise instructions supply recommended...

    Amp/Speaker advice

@nopiano Thank you. I'll get a stereo pair. Couln't get any sound out of the sub with the mono cable from the pre-out. Try again when I've got the stereo pair.

    Amp/Speaker advice

@nopiano So this sub interface is not the right one? Wrong on both sides, I see. Is a more expensive new cable really better for a sub than a medium priced cable?

    Amp/Speaker advice

Oh, I feel a bit stupid here... :flushed:. Thank you! Than now I'm going to unbox the sub!
