I have a Naim Supernait 2, and its an excellent amplifier. It has power in spades and drives my speakers with ease, I cannot see me changing it for a very long time if ever.........

+1 The new site has cetainly reduced my visits here. With members leaving in droves, are What Hi Fi too proud or too stupid to realise what the problem is. For me the whole layout hurts my eyes, so my future visits will be fleeting at best........

I have Spendor SA1s driven by the Naim Supernait 1 which drives them wonderfully well, you could get this amp second hand for a good price now that Supernait 2 has been introduced. And as for the comment that you need Naim cables is rubbish, I use a 4mm standard cable to great effect, not that...

The OP asked what would sound better between 2 scenario's which may be a minimal sonic benefit, so why the attitude ?
