Ended up with the Debut Carbon after deliberating for some time over it. Just glad it's all over and I can actually start listening to some actual music. You were right of course, I took quality over convenience.

Thanks for the advice. I'd be attaching it to an onkyo 9010 amp and diamond 220 speakers. I'm not looking for something high end initially, but at least something that won't hurt the records. Seems as if the essential is er... essential.

Hi everyone! An original thread, I'm sure. Just looking for some advice from people that might know as I'm an analogue novice. My budget is sub £300 and what hi fi seem to suggest the Essential 2 is the one to go for. However, as I'm buying this for the house (I.e me and the missus), she prefers...
