They are much closer than they are on my Yamaha av receiver or the SMSL A300, which is understandable as the body itself is smaller. They fixed this on the Aiyima A07 max, which has spaced out binding posts.

I think I know what the issue is, some part of the cable grip (the part after the banana plug) were touching each other and we’re shorting. Could this have potentially damaged the amp somewhat?
