    Headphone newbie seeking recommendations

Shopping patiently and selectively, I tend to keep stuff -new and used. I have two new 1985 pieces, but also two used $40 bargains, one of which I'll be selling soon. Sometimes you can even make a profit. ;) BTW, I also encourage your Sennheiser leanings, even though I don't have any recent...

Don't feel bad; be wise. With so many never-satisfied listeners, there is a continuous supply of upgraders offering great deals. Many are babied bargains: shop patiently for a great deal.

Nice setup, congrats! Love ribbon tweeters, and those may be the tallest remote controls ever built. Enjoy your music!

    Question Hi-fi and Windows 11

If there is still space and interest in the original Q: I've been running MusicBee to manage my ~1K-album digital collection on Intel NUCs since Windows 7 -which it still supports, and am now running it fully satisfactorily under Windows 11 Pro. It is regularly updated and supported better than...

I read and heard all the entertaining filtered opinions as well: for all this stuff, what matters, I've learned, is my own tastes and ears, in my home, with my equipment and especially my music and specific recordings. Enjoy your shopping and your music.

Independent of budget, the Fiio K11 R2R is plenty nice and the newer Fiio FT1 Pro, which are not as large, ugly, or plasticky as other planar magnetics, matches very nicely with it. ;) Definitely worth at least a trial if available to you.

    In ear option ideas.

Consider the ANC Soundcore Space A40. I wouldn't pay more for Bluetooth, especially for use with a nice Apple phone. I did and do require LDAC for Bluetooth, but that's irrelevant for you. They are among the smallest in-ears available; they charge wirelessly, quickly and last forever; and have...

Plus, many purposely, knowingly, and happily pay the bragging rights premium: Good thing is that those rights are never-expiring!

Speaker placement, acoustics and PMC Twenty5

You need to set up your favorite listening chair/seating, and accoutrements, by your favorite window, and then identify and locate joyful reasonably-priced speakers that fit in, square well, and make you smile. Or is this assumed, a given? --------- Remarkable tweeters are primary...

Do you preferred Monitor / Neutral or Coloured / Warmer Speaker

The reports and the adjectives are entertaining, yes, but generally, ultimately, they themselves do not matter to me: I'm fortunate to not be "questioning" regularly, instead to be so satisfied with my learned tastes, first. and then that my modest so-matched equipment can reproduce my media...

    Best compact headphone listening solution?

Surely, as I am able: 1. I don't use either, although I did subscribe to Spotify before its podcast-priority re-direction/-investment: I subscribe to Amazon, and I only stream its albums and playlists. I'd expect that one could do these things (only) as well as on any DAP. There is an M21 thread...
