    can the oppo 205

My Marantz 8802 noticeably degrades the picture (may be faulty) so I go direct from my Oppo 105 and use the second HDMI for multi ch audio, for stereo playback I use analog outs into another input on the preamp

    The active speakers club

Hi, I bought a set of LS50Ws from David at thelittleaudiocompany a couple of weeks ago. Great guy to deal with and a wealth of knowledge with no hard sell, in fact a waited a couple of weeks extra just so I could buy from him rather than online. The LS50W are a major upgrade to the passive LS50s...

    KEF LS50 Actives anyone?

Well as far as Im concerned if a product cant do gapless its not hi-fi and just in easy listening mp3/shuffle territory, but I guess it depends on what music youre into

Hi David, Good to see you back and looking forward to the new website. Wishing you all the best with your new venture. The Kef LS50s with the blue cones on your Facebook page arent the new wireless ones by any chance, if so what are your thoughts? ps Like the profile picture, is that in anyway...

I only know David because Ive bought quite a few bits of Hi-Fi from him. I only thought it fair given the wealth of advice he gave to me on another forum. However I have to add the only reason I made the 400 mile round trip was because all the advice he gave was totally objective and certainly...

    Isoacoustic speaker stand?

I have KEF LS50s on a cupboard which isnt ideal, the Isoacoustics transformed them, cleaned up the bass but also stereo image. I leant them to a friend to try and he bought some as well for his speakers. Also tried the Auralex which were a big improvement but to me the Isoacoustics were worth the...

    What Amp for KEF LS-50s

Far bigger price difference in the UK, if it had been that close then Id have grabbed the A70 like a shot , if you can buy from somewhere that offers a return policy I think you wont be disappointed. I only had chance to compare it to the similar Rotel but I much preferred the Pioneer

    What Amp for KEF LS-50s

David at Frank Harvey recommended the Pioneer A50 to me and Im very happy with the result for a relatively low price the results are superb on a wide range of music, apparently KEF use one of the high end Arcams to demo the LS50s so depending on your budget you may want to add that into your mix

    Pioneer A50 Amp & Kef LS50 Speakers

I love mine in fact its making me re think my main setup which includes R900s and a Yamaha Z7 so I'm now looking at a power amp upgrade. The LS50s with the A50 are a really impressive combination, I would be interested to hear the Arcam A19 but I had to draw the line somewhere cost wise but I...
