If you are going to use the system for parties, I would strongly advise getting a more powerful amplifier -100watts or more. The 40w one will soon run into clipping and blow up your tweeters and even midrange (if the Cerwins are 3 way). Believe me, at parties, the volume goes up and up!# You...

This transisition is nothing. Years ago, Radio 3 was one of the first programs to go on the new FM band! For a long while there was no pop at ALL. Then, on medium wave only, there was BBC Radio1. Eventually pop was taken seriously enough to join FM and later, God bless, in stereo!

Of course there are formula's. Volts x amps = Watts. And amps squared x R = watts. So in fact there is no reason to quote current if the amp can drive a load of say 4 ohms with a power of 50 watts. It can be calculated. Use formula and you get 3.5 amps... Is that what you are asking? Let me...

Its not quite signal or no signal.. The audio starts burbling before going silent. I was using an indoor aerial and I noticed the quality changed when people moved around the room. Thinking about getting an external aerial now. Just got to get around to it.
