Thank you for all the replies, I tried the plug fuse, have just had another look inside and found the other fuse, are these standard fuses that i would get in a hardware shop or are they a specialist fuse. Have not worked out how to get it out yet as is crammed between other bits. Good news...

The amp is completely dead, no signs of life at all. Nothing happened to it, it just stopped would not swith on one day. I have opened the unit up and had a look iniside, can't see any burnt out components etc. Have also tried changing the fuse in the plug.

Thanks for the reply. "A replacement from Ebay may very well be close to extinction too" Thats something i had not considered, will bear in mind. Expect budget for replacement would be 250-300.
