    My boring looking loudspeaker cables.

Of course, you can't hide them totally but there not gawping at you like an amp, speakers, CDP etc etc. I don't even look at my cables unless I'm spring cleaning the terminals.

    My boring looking loudspeaker cables.

One way of looking at it. The other it's good to have something that lasts in this 'throwaway' society. After all, cables are generally tucked away out of sight.

Do you mean something like this or a more up to date version...

    My boring looking loudspeaker cables.

I still use Chord Chrysalis I/C from the late 1990s. They still sound fine. No plans to replace them until they wave a white flag

    Andy Roachford

One of the better artists from the bland 80s music scene. Very overlooked. View: https://youtu.be/lVzMqR9JDnU?si=gD8McWAA9V5hxj8b

News Lloyd Cole and the Commotions

Not heard any of their albums either. They were IMHO the archetypal 80s dross bands, the decade I dislike the most for new music. Ironically, though, it was the decade I purchased most of my albums.

I'm a LiAV(!) and the future is Not Vinyl or CD, it's DAC / Streaming, what do yo think?

My daughter pays for our Spotify, which is played via the TV/Dac & amp. It sounds fine but would I make that my main source? No, but streaming and Dacs offers another method of musical playback, along with CDs, vinyl and Freeview or digital radio. In the 80s when CDs first came out people were...

Alfa Romeo thread - back from the dead!

You could be right, but having driven a Veloce Guilia it's fun to drive, plenty of character - very soulful compared to the typical Euroboxes. The Guilia, all models came came top in Euro NCAP, so it's one of the safest cars around. https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/alfa+romeo/giulia/24849

Alfa Romeo thread - back from the dead!

A few years ago it was one of the most reliable cars around, how that goes from the top to bottom in such a short period is beyond me. The only real issues I know about the Guilia is the brakes: they have a 'brake by wire' rather than trad braking system. That means the brake warning light...

    Amp advice for linn 109

Assuming you are in the UK, the Leema is ideal with a very good built-in phono stage and plenty of grunt to drive most price compable speakers. Otherwise, used midrange Marantz, older Arcam or Rotel 10 series amps.

    Amp advice for linn 109

They drive my 4 ohm speakers without any issues, likewise 4 ohm Totem Arros. My previous speakers were 6 ohms nominal but dip to around 2 or 3 ohms. The Leema had no audible issues. As someone else mentioned it's nominal ohms.

Not my bag. Had one of their singles, only been played a few times. Enjoy the concert.
