I drink quite a number of tea, which isn't good for you. For the last 2 years I've been drinking decaff tea & coffee not quite as nice but still very drinkable. Haven't tried fruit teas though. The smell alone puts me off.

You need to spend roughly the same amount on every component. No point having a 10k amp if your table is sub £1000. My amp was worth, according to retailers at the time, around £1300. My table was roughly the same amount, speakers were £1600.... the only component cheaper is my Exposure CDP...

Too many people have hang ups with Alfas. They are not beelzebub of the car world. Most of these people have never sat in one, much less owned one.

No, hi-fi is purely for musical pleasure for the family and I. I've never seen hi-fi related wallpaper, either except the amp, speakers etc etc for what it is or don't bother at all. Friends of ours had a B&O lifestyle system -- that was an eyesore and anti-room.

As the OP likes Mordaunt Short then Amphion Argons should match taste and room size better -- or close as you can feasibly get. The Kef R3 are just too big and deep, really not practical unless you have a substantial space.

They are also understated design wise, but very pretty. They don't shout "look at me!" instead, they tend to go under the radar. I washed my car down the other day but didn't have time to polish it.

Jason, have look at this titchy Leema Elements amp. They make some cracking stuff (ask any current or past owner), and they are bullet-proof for reliability and build quality. I've had my Pulse since 2010, and still sounds great on these Dali Rubicon speakers...

Has to be the Leema Pulse. Purchased it in 2010 brand new for £750, reduced from £1300 (clearance stock from SSAV) and still use it and still sounds the dogs.
