The audiolab m-dac is a great bit of kit. What I'm saying is will the possible improvements be worth the money. I have an m-dac and I really like it, I use it as it was intended as pre amp/dac.
You already have a dac that has the facilities you require and the dacs you've listed wouldn't really give you much of an upgrade in sound quality for the money you'd have to pay to replace the dacmagic.
I've used the rotel ra12 with b&w speakers and it works nicely no real nasties and you could happily live with it. I think that the audiolab I use now works much better.
Tried the site on all the browser's on my tablet it's still utter rubbish. I understand "the shock of the new" but this is more like "the shock of the rubbish".
I have an 8200p and it hums, doesn't get warm or hiss through speakers. I've had it over a year and it works fine. You can hear the hum in a completely quiet room, at low volume you don't hear it. It seems that this is a common occurrence with this amp. I still like the amp though.
I enjoy spotify for what is and thats how i listen to it. I've a decent system an spotify sounds very decent it has a large library it works for me. I'm not that geeky so playlists and other bugs don't effect me. It's a simple case of play what comes to mind.
There are a few hifi dealer's in Edinburgh.
loud and clear
hifi corner
richersounds

Also if your able to travel you have dealers in glasgow. In fact the central belt is well served for hifi.
I currently have a set of b&w 685 s1 and I'm after another set of decent sized standmounters. I've never heard pmc speakers before, the question is are they a step above the 685.
Current gear is
Marantz cd 6004
Audiolab m-dac
Audiolab 8200p
It's the dac in the rotel that does the conversion, set your bdp to output pcm 2ch audio. Pity you can't stretch to the ra 12 it's a good amp and it paired very well with my b&w 685 s1.
