Apologies for spelling mistakes above...tried to change them but I'm supposedly spam!!!
Here are the screen pictures...first one is a dvd, and the other two are blu ray:
The location of the Ben Q W1070 wasn't idea as it wasn't at the ack of the room, but I had no choice due to the size of screen I had and the location of the joists. ( I wanted to feed the cables from the side of the room in picture and have the Projector attacked to a joist for piece of mind...
Things have changed a lot since my last post on here. The main one is an addition of a projector and 77" electric screen into the system!

For the first time since purchasing the Samsung 32H5000 (November 2014) I have attempted to used the two HDMI connections on this tv. I firstly connected a Humax freeview box into the HDMI 1 connection. I got the 'Humax' logo on the screen, but from then on only a green screen. I moved it to the...
Thanks for your suggestion as to the cause of the problem.
With an 18 month old daughter in the house, the machine never gets past -25dB which is not loud at all and the machine has been in a stand/rack since the day it was delivered, so I'd be surprised if either were the cause of this.
Thanks for you help with this Michael!
Watching Spiderman and sounds fine so far! It's used daily so I will soon see if it's an ongoing issue. Especially with so long left on the warranty side of things.
All reconnected....inputs first followed by centre and front speakers, then finally rear speakers testing the receiver as I go along.

Best thing to do is try and get a demo somewhere and decide for yourself if it's enough for your tastes.
Through the front pre outs on the receiver.
To the OP....why are you wanting to add a stereo amp to the receiver if your only going to use it for 5.1 duties?
Although a 'power amp direct' function simples adding a stereo amp to an av receiver via pre outs, it's not a necessity.
I've had a Marantz PM6004 connected to a receiver before, and that doesn't have that function. I just used the set up mic at a volume level (on the PM6004) that I could...
