I think the chances are it would. 510s & 610s allow memory sticks or hard drives from USB. As far as i know the only USB spec changes from 503/603 to 510/610 are that there are 2 USBs instead of one.

Wow. Before your 2 interventions i was about to throw my 510 out the window. Now Im very happy with it. It does exactly what i wanted. Ah bliss, all the hard works been done and i can just listen to hours and hours of music on shuffle. :grin:

thanks for responses, ive manged to give them a 4 foot separation and it sounds much better. Anything more at present would involve a major furniture reorganisation.

About 8 feet - quite a small room. Incidentally, speakers built into flatscreen TVs are of course generally awful but to compound it, they are close together as well.

For convenience my Dali Zensor speakers are only about 2 feet apart. Is stereo separation the only thing depreciated or is there anything else ?

Yes very true, its also incredible to me that the percussion has so much depth and complexity.

SiUK have you thought of adding a subwoofer to your 610 for a bit of extra ooomf ? Incidentally can you give me some pointers as to where to buy a slug load of FLACs ?

i have around 4000 mp3s on a USB and it loads much faster than via a PC if thats any use.

Cheers SiUK, after posting i realised i still had quite a few jpgs etc on my USB, have spent the last 2 hours strippng them out. Yes 2 Firmware upgrades for the 510 as well.

SiUK - on another issue, do you ever get "File Format Error" flash up for about a second after one mp3 finishes and before the next mp3 starts ? I thought it may be because i have a few non mp3 files included such as jpg artwork but im not sure. I only get it on USB not Music Server.
