Indeed, I'd be happy with the non dr for the time being, then upgrade when funds allow. Having heard the differences myself, I would probably sell a limb to fund the dr work! Come to think of it, I heard those Naps running off a 272. That would be a cracking system with the Twenty 24s...

Old in the context that it needs some sort of motor or platter repair and I have lost a little confidence in it. I bought it 2nd hand so I don't know what kind of life it had prior to me hence wanting to upgrade. I would like the new tt to last for a good few years and to be of good enough...

+1 on the 2nd hand 250, there is a big difference between that and the 200. The 250dr is an improvement again!

Thanks gents. Sticking with MM carts is certainly on the agenda for now, what I want is an extremely well made turntable that I can build on. Not sure that Inspire will really offer me that hence looking at other more well known brands. The Clearaudio would be the most straight forward upgrade...

I like Leema stuff and had a Leema dac for a long time until moving to Naim so not knocking the amp at all. Just suggesting the amp MAY be holding you back

Maybe it is your amp that is masking the true potential of the Electro CDP...I know you are very attached to the Leema but I my money would be on an amp upgrade rather then fettling with CDPs

Check out ATC SCM40s. Amazing speakers and work well close-ish to a wall as they are sealed. I've not heard the with your amp but the monoblocks should have plenty of power. As with all recommendations, home demo is essential!

Big fan of streaming, really got into it when Qobuz became a decent contender, although I am now a Tidal convert after acquiring a dedicated Naim streamer with inbuilt Tidal functionality. I still won't be without vinyl despite the convenience streaming from the likes of Tidal or from my NAS...
