    Specific Amp for KEF LS50s

I've been driving my 50's with the UnitiQute2 for about 6 months now and love it. I know...I know...they recommend more power, but the combination has been terrific for me, plus I get the connectivty I need. For reference, I've used Parasound, NAD, Bel Canto, Van Alstine, Vincent Audio and a...

KEF LS50 and value for money

I agree that the 50's benefit from good amplication, but I wouldn't want to discourage people from trying them simply because they can't afford top notch gear. I've used mine with everything from the NAD3020D to Parasound to Naim UnitiQute2 (currently) to Plinius and even had them briefly...

    NAD D 7050 and KEF LS50

Yes...I don't listen at head banging levels, but it was enough for the occasional dance party for my young daughter! And, the only major connectivity piece it was missing for me was airplay. It may not be for everyone, but definitely worth a listen. I always cite the Stereophile review as at...

    NAD D 7050 and KEF LS50

I was very close to ordering a Nova125 and give it a try (comes with a 30 day guarantee) when the UnitiQute2 dropped from the sky. On paper, Peachtree looks like a great match!

    NAD D 7050 and KEF LS50

Until just a couple of weeks ago, I used the NAD D3020 with the LS50's and loved the setup. The same setup was reviewed in Stereophile last year and they also gave it the thumbs up. I recently switched to a UnitiQute2 because a friend was looking to unload it for an amazing price, but I wasn't...

    Am i dreaming?

Dave, Sorry, I probably overstated that a bit to make a point about the earlier statement regarding high fidelity. Whether it's a different amp, cables, speakers or tone controls we're all in search of that certain "something" and felt the reply was condescending.

    Am i dreaming?

Unless you're lucky enough to have an acoutistically treated room, just about everything in our listening rooms works against having a true "high fidelity" experience! For some people, tone controls allow them to get a bit of it back.

Naim Unitiqute or DAC-V1 system choices

I was also going to suggest the LS50's--I'm currently using them with a UnitiQute2. Looks like they are just a bit too tall.

Kef LS50 - Questions on S/Q and room placement! (Should I buy them?)

no issues with genres. Most of my music is classical and jazz, but I also listen to to anything from Bluegrass to rock and it works well. I also have a young daughter, so the system gets corrupted with pop, but it seems to do well enough for dance parties ! :)

Kef LS50 - Questions on S/Q and room placement! (Should I buy them?)

I've used them with Parasound, the NAD D3020 and now the UQ2 and they've been wonderful no matter what. Again, if you look at this month's Stereophile, you'll see that he used a variety of equipment and found the same thing (although he notes that they would respond positively to high quality...
