But that’s exceptionally rare. Much more common is for signal (interconnect) cables to pick up hum. That’s because speaker cables already carry signals post-amplification.

It might be worth a call to B&W themselves. I had a quick look on eBay, and all the DM303 seem to enjoy bashed in domes (!) but I can’t see any others with that circular fitting. I’m sure they exist, and there’s repair kits too but I wouldn’t know where to start...

I can see the point, although I draw attention to how amplifiers used to have Auxiliary inputs, then CD inputs, now Streaming or DAC inputs. I have hundreds of CD and a couple of players, but I don’t think they warrant a standalone section here. They’re a solved design, and I can’t imagine...

I was finding some posts impossible to read with Dark Mode, which otherwise is my preferred setting. I switched it to Default Setting, which I assumed was the standard white on red banner but I’ve now got a blue background! Is this the native app that I’ve somehow found by accident?

The great thing when WHF closed and I moved to WigWam was the personal messaging option. I kept in touch with a few that way. I still use Maverick, but never quite warmed to it like I did with the Wam, although some of the mods and regulars are very knowledgeable.
