I’m enjoying whatever spec UHD is on Now TV/Sky Sports with the Formula 1 coverage, for example. When it is regular HD it looks a bit plain by comparison. That’s on a 55” LG, 2022 model.

I have a few EMI recordings from the Kingsway Hall, and it was definitely a good test of low bass response, and in the LP days it revealed how well the cartridge/arm combination worked at low frequencies. Sadly it’s no longer there, I believe.

I listen mostly to ‘classical’ music, and there are dozens from BIS, LSO Live, Chandos, Linn, Channel Classics, etc. More are released every month. But I believe there’s far fewer for ‘chart’ music, or whatever pop is called these days. I have a few ‘special editions’ too, like DSOTM...

You’re sounding like an ATC convert! They are excellent speakers, though some find them too revealing I think. Can you run to SCM40s though it might be worth looking for used or ex demo?

Yes, that’s why my system sounds much better to me when it has been carefully dusted. I think it’s better, but logically it’s no different! 😂

Was the transformer no good, or the amp?

100 volts is the biggest snag with Japanese imports, as I’d not want the faff of a transformer. Though if I knew what I was doing there’s probably a 230 volt tap on the transformer!
