The classical labels I mentioned are standard full price, not inflated ‘audiophile’ prices. And there are loads of secondhand ones on eBay, for example. The expensive “luxury” editions tend to be of particularly famous recordings, repackaged at a premium price.

I don’t know your musical tastes, but many audiophile favourites like DSOTM, Hotel California, Love Over Gold, etc are available on SACD. And several classical labels release regularly on SACD, like Channel Classics and BIS

I’m afraid I don’t know the Sony models well enough, but often the suffixes denoted regions, colours or specs. For example E might have been a European rather than home market version, and R might denote a Remote control. Good luck!

Too fast, or too high pitch? My maths suggests a semitone higher than 33.3rpm is about 34.6 rpm, so you’re just below one semitone sharp. Maybe you have ‘perfect pitch’?
