They look great! They need a little run in to loosen those bass drivers but they'll be sounding sweet in no time.

Lintons go down to 37 hertz. Bass is definitely not a problem.

Hey, I run a Roksan K2 with Lintons in my room (45m sq). I think it is a great combo. What type of music do you listen to? They need some space I would say, at least a foot (30cm) from the rear wall and more if you can.

I 100% agree. I have worked for software startups for years and their support, feature releases and roadmap mirrors that approach far more than trad hifi companies.

They seem to be really pushing the envelope on what is possible with these little TI chip amps. I haven't heard it yet but would like to check it out. I wonder if they would be tempted to push again with Hypex or similar. It would push the price but you would be getting close to competing with...

To be honest, I would upgrade your speakers first and then choose an amplifier to suit them. They are going to have the single greatest impact on the sound by far.

You should definitely listen to any new amp and make sure that you are gaining from an upgrade. The Cambridge has a hypex ncore class D amplification module which is close to State of the Art in terms of class D. You might hear a difference from some of these options but there is a strong...

It will apply a curve and that will smooth out some of the character quirks maybe. But if you have got specific bass problems like OP, Dirac has bass solutions. Some Wharfedale like my Lintons have a smoothed off treble, nothing in the chain is going to change that because the speakers roll off...

I'd have to agree that with the problems you are describing, if placement is not resolving things I would be looking at a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 or 2170 used. Other options with built in Dirac room correction would be an Arcam SA30. If you want to buy new, there are discounts on the NAD M10 v2 out...

I have my LS50's setup with my Audiolab for desktop use. The volume never goes beyond a quarter to. Totally different equation to living room use for example. Just to reiterate what has already been said, at reasonable volumes from a metre away you don't need a power house amp. Truth be told...

@Rodolfo any examples or links on good Chinese class A? Seen some cheap tube hybrids as well recently! You can get Hypex integrated + DAC for around 600 euros these days at Audiophonics. No need to dig out the soldering iron. Check out here. Another 100 euros gets you twice the power here...
