    Routing of Cables

I don't think most of the regs on this form would as most seem to a good bunch of people who don't believe in a lot of the snake oil that other audiophiles believe in. The people who work for the magazine on the other hand would be having a heart attack about mains being in with the other cables...

    Any disappointments or regrets?

I've often sold old electronics in the past to buy h-fi upgrades for my separates system. Right now I would probably have to sell a body part to be able to afford new upgrades thanks to the mess the Tories have got the country in.

Going to see legendry industrial metal band Killing Joke in March. It will be my first gig since lockdown and my 2nd time seeing Killing Joke live.

    Question Survey

Don't Preamps and power amps need to be rectangle shapes to go on a h-fi rack so I'm not sure what other form they could take. People on this hi-fi forum (and the magazine what hi-fi) don't really talk about preamps and power amps as most who come on here don't use them as they mainly get used...

    Stereo Amplifier Suggestion

Maybe NAD D 3020 is what your looking for as it was designed to be used in a PC setup.

Audiophiles telling me subs suck. Because real stereo is 2 speakers. True or false?

Do what you wanna do and don't worry what anyone thinks as life is to short to be caring what others say, especially fickle audiophiles. As long as your happy with how your hi-fi separates system sounds then that is all that matters as your be the one listening to it and not audiophiles on forums.

    Fawlty Towers is coming back...

Why bring it back as it will never be as good as the original. They brought Open all hours back a few years ago and it was not as the original and when they brought back Only fools and horses it was also not as good. Don't they have any original ideas at the BBC? Guess not. The BBC are getting...

    Any disappointments or regrets?

I can not really afford to even spend a grand at the minute on hi-fi what with rent and unity bills going up. Plus I have a car to run, you probably get the picture.

Mysteries of the newbie hifi lover

I've no idea what makes your new hi-fi separates gear sound better together than your old hi-fi separates gear as I've never heard any of your hi-fi separates gear. Sometimes some hi-fi separates gear does not work well together no matter how good all the hi-fi separates gear is your trying to...

What is it meant when audiophiles say some hi-fi products are just lifestyle products?

Okay I think I now understand what is meant by lifestyle product so thanks for all your answers. I still think the Naim Mu-So is a hi-fi product no matter what anyone says, after all it's made by a audiophile company. I will always be a hi-fi separates person first (I love loving at hi-fi boxes...

    Any disappointments or regrets?

I really like Naim's hi-fi separates gear but only have £1000 max to spend on one piece of hi-fi separates at any one time, Naim's cheapest hi-fi Separates gear is sadly (especially with the cost of living crisis going on at the minute) just out of my price range.

What is it meant when audiophiles say some hi-fi products are just lifestyle products?

Jealous of what? When it comes to hi-fi the Naim Mu-So it might be the second most expensive hi-fi product I've brought (the Rega RS3 speakers were the first) but in high end hi-fi terms it's not very expensive. The audiophiles I've heard calling calling the Naim Mu-So and products like them...

What is it meant when audiophiles say some hi-fi products are just lifestyle products?

I have the Naim Mu-So wireless speaker which I class as hi-fi as I brought it brand new for £900 a few years ago and it's by an audiophile brand Naim so why do some audiophiles say the Naim Mu-So and products like it not true hi-fi and are only lifestyle products? What does that even mean?
