Best speakers for Arcam Solo Music

In a room that size, perhaps think about how much space the hifi and speakers will take up. Sometimes less is more.... The Arcam Solo Music is a good choice for limiting the number of boxes and wires without compromising too much on quality. Some Neat Iota Alpha's or Dali Menuets could be...

    upgrade my technics set-up?

I bought my SU-A900MK2 (integrated amp) about 20 years ago and still use it every morning, connected to a pair of KEF iQ5se floorstanders. Brilliant system. The amp is plenty powerful enough and has a great tone. My advice would be to upgrade your speakers. My Technics also worked extremely...

    What are you listening to?

Tom Waits - Used Songs It's 6:00am, dark outside and raining. Warm and snug inside listening to Tom Waits 'Used Songs' on my Samsung Tablet. Very good sound quality for nearfield listening at this quiet time of the morning. One of the neighbourhood cats has arrived for her cat milk and...

    Marantz CR611+Q Acoustics 3010+Q Acoustics 3070S VS Ruark R7

Hi Dib, Yes that's right, Creek CDP and amps with EPOS M22i speaker and Spendor S5e speakers with REL Strata II sub. Listen to it most days and it's still going strong. There's always better kit out there but this set up works just fine.... but never say never, I might get an itch and feel...

    Marantz CR611+Q Acoustics 3010+Q Acoustics 3070S VS Ruark R7

Thanks for your replies, I'm pretty sure that the holiday makers and day trippers at Blackpool will be safe, Major ☺. It would be interesting however to know how far off the R7 is off in terms of sound quality in a small room environment. My parents are not into hifi and for them if the...

    Marantz CR611+Q Acoustics 3010+Q Acoustics 3070S VS Ruark R7

Parents downsized to a property with a small lounge, 11 foot by 18 foot. Telly in the corner adjacent to the patio doors on one of the short sides. Quite like the idea of a Ruark R7 with telly attachment for compact and neatness. I have heard the R7 at John Lewis but not an ideal environment...

Wayward Pines - a bucolic small American town

I'm on freesat, so hope Fox will distribute via Channel 5 or E4.... They have their own channel though on Sky so it maybe only shown on that initially. Very much looking forward to seeing this series *biggrin* The books were excellent.

Just ordered Cisco Pike DVD Amazon USA

Enjoyed watching the film again, but it didn't seem as sunshiney bright as I remembered it. Possibly the DVD transfer was the culprit. Occasionaly the screen went black for a couple of seconds (although the audio continued as normal), it happened about 5 times. That didn't detract from the story...
