AudioT and Isotek are doing another demo few days 4th / 5th November in Oxford

If someone claims they cannot fly by flapping their arms, surely the correct response is not to claim 'they are not trying' but to prove that you can? Unless of course, you can prove that your brain could not possibly influence your hearing?

    Cables - Length and Quantity

This is somewhat off topic - try starting a new thread. UK single phase 230VACRMS domestic mains neutral should be approximately earth. If its 240VAC to earth seek professional help - if someone has swapped live/neutral on your system, then the fuses are not going to do much if you have an...

    Cables - Length and Quantity

The 'CPC seem to be somewhat limited' comment was specifically about the range of small IEC distribution boxes - not about their range in general. I could locate several mini IEC distribution boxes on Farnells site - but none on the CPC site at the time I checked. Matt.

    Cables - Length and Quantity

It has to be treated as potentially live - however under normal circumstances there shouldn't be many volts between neutral and earth - potentially means it you can have 'potential' Try searching for 'Ground and neutral' on wikipedia - there is a difference between the US and the UK regs...

Russ Andrews has amended wordings of Sky HD box listing (ASA response)

Do I think retailers should be allowed to lie? No - not the point. What I think is the sum of the *whole* of the post I made, not just the part you quoted, breaking this down as simply as possible in order of priority: 1. Should a manufacturer be selling a product 2. What are the words the...

Russ Andrews has amended wordings of Sky HD box listing (ASA response)

Hypothetically, completely unrelated, nothing to do with the thread: If someone produced a device that 'improved the sound quality of every device in your house', but had a metal case which was wired to live mains electricity, would you: A. Complain about the advertising of the sound quality...

Russ Andrews has amended wordings of Sky HD box listing (ASA response)

Would he try to flag up that the equipment has been converted to Class II to Class I protection which could bring up some rather awkward issues if an accident/incident ever occurs? (Especially if its still marked as Double Insulated) Ignoring the 'Potentially Foo' advert part and looking at...

Russ Andrews has amended wordings of Sky HD box listing (ASA response)

Why did you bother reporting them to the ASA - they are not hurting anyone with the advert, what people throw their money at is their own business. On the other hand - has any one complained about the fact that the picture on their site shows the back with its original: 'CE mark, Double...
