    When I went for demo I thought I will buy Silver 8 but after few minutes with Dali speakers I new that I found the sound I was looking for.I suspect a lot of people will be walking out with Dalis after personal audition.

    How big is your room? Opticon 6 are vey powerful so might be enough for your room but as ever you need to get a demo.

    I have demoed Opticons 5,6 and Monitor audio Silver 8 and I have to say that Dali Opticons are very good speakers.

    Marantz SA8005 and PM8005 Any good?

    You can`t go wrong with Marantz PM/SA8005 for £645 each. It is bargain at that price.Build quality is super,both units made in Japan.

    Why not to try Monitor audio GX100? You can find xe-display for around £650.Great speakers IMO Marantz PM8005 is a great amp for money.
