    Speakers don't really make noise. They transduce whatever is fed to them. So, the problem is farther back in your source. "No source connected" -- it's getting power from something ;) I can't give a better answer until you describe all the components of the system including cables. Bad cables...

    You can get some big improvements in the free and cheap areas first, before throwing away money. HUGE upgrade: 1. The weak link in your chain is the source, phone with bluetooth, etc. Use an old throwaway phone and hard-wire it into the Marantz PM6007 with a usb-to-coaxial or optical conversion...

    I can't review or critique what I haven't used, but I'd be cautious about product selection and settings, just because I almost rage-quit Tidal and only turned out lucky to get it set up nicely. Then again you may not be as picky hearing as I am...but that's sad too because a great % of hearing...

    It's good. At equal 16bit/44.1Hz HD playback, has a Nano-slight more homogeneity of tonality in the lower freqs when compared to say, to Tidal. But I can't 100% be sure if something else in the playback chain is the cause. On the plus side, even the 16/44 HD is a nice clean hi-res digital sound...

    TIDAL MOBILE Settings > Playback > Loudness Normalization TIDAL DESKTOP Settings > Streaming > Loudness Normalization If you turn it off, you may find it doesn't sound like the Loudness button is on. ;) Probably it shouldn't default as on but, who knows, maybe a poll found the average users...

    "MQA is lossy, I'm so angry about it that I'm switching to lower quality!" You have to wince at the illogical reaction. Note that Tidal gives you the option of lossless FLAC, not just MQA. MQA is their attempt to improve on the lossless FLAC with "unfolding voodoo" to preserve a little more...
