Can't do marantz - audiolab but can comment on marantz - naim.....difference, not alot the truth be told. I like the green logo, it matches my amp and I love the swing CD tray, that's worth the £700 extra alone...! Even done A-B testing between Apple lossless from my iPad to airport express -...

I have a rega rp3 on an oak "hi fi rack" which in turn sits directly on 100years + suspended floorboards. Never had a problem so maybe them spike things between the shelfs work. Would of put it on a wall shelf but have a column in the way.

Have no classical, orchestra in my collection, hence only noticed this when testing the muso to hear if it could do stereo with no speaker separation.

its not the affording the "big boys speakers" it's affording the house put them in....!

Just tested it on my marantz system in the kitchen, 2 whafdales mounted on the wall and really only used for back ground music so never noticed. yep same as the muso and you're right my naim amp sits the middle of my speakers so I need to cross the cables, unlike the marantz amp which also sits...

not mucking around. i would source second hand ; Naim 5i cd and amp and neat motive speakers, because iv owned it for years now and never felt the need to upgrade when flush and wouldn't like to downgrade by buying new. I could live without a turntable if the need be.

the ladies will like the naim muso the best, it's pretty....!
