I bought an ex demo CXUHD the Saturday prior to the lockdown. I picked it up from the store and all staff were wearing face masks and gloves. I can’t say I gave it much thought tbh.

I have the CXA81 and it doesn’t have the capability to decode MQA.

Both the CXA60 and CXA80 have been superseded by the CXA61 and CXA81 respectively so you may need to consider those unless you can find the older models in stock somewhere.

I’m a bit late to the party but I have the CXA81 paired with Dali Oberon 5. I trialed the amp with QAcoustics Q3050i at the same time but preferred the Oberons which together with the amp produced a warmer sound. The Q’s appeared to lose most of the bass....

My experience of streaming even a 4k picture (Disnety+) is that the quality isn't as good as from a disc.

As an ardent Bowie fan starting in the very early seventies I’d have to agree very much with Neiljbo. Although I’d wait in eager anticipation for each new release I would inevitably be left deeply disappointed. The two exceptions would be 1.outside and Blackstar. The later is IMO one of his finest.

Cost ? Maybe for the money the reviewer was expecting a more accomplished performance. No doubt if they were half the price the ‘Against’ section would have noted ‘Nothing at this price’ as is often seen with components in lower priced tiers.
