    Laptop battery life

In order to prolong battery life, it is reccomended that you discharge the battery fully (until it warns you to plug it in), plug and charge it to 100%, unplug and repeat. If you plan on using the laptop in a stationary position then remove the battery and leave it plugged in all the time.

Ever worked out how much you have spent on your HiFi?

If I add it all up, it's over a thousand bucks. It's worth it, though, for the enjoyment you gain.

    HDMI cable

Gold is certainly not more electrically conductive than copper. Which begs the question: where are you getting your theories from? Silver is absolutely the best element at conducting a current of electrons, under ordinary conditions. This is followed by copper, which is widely used instead of...

    Quality of stand alone DACs

If you have a good inbuilt DAC, no problem. But what if the DAC in your otherwise hi-fi CD player is low-quality? Then you can justify buying an external DAC. An external DAC may also be subjected to less electrical noise than the one built into the CD player.

    Vintage Hi Fi Safety

Vintage hifi gear's safety depends entirely on the design of the component. Some older stuff was known to self-destruct after a couple of years but others are still going strong. A bit of googling when making a purchase will help determine if the model has a history of burning out or not. If...

    HDMI

That's close-minded and ignorant. You should actually do a bit of research into the topic. After all, this discussion has run its course many times before. It is like you are trying to argue that the world is flat. Manufacturers will tell you that digital cables are not the same, but why...

Audiophile USB cables and What HI-FI

Ah, I get it. But I don't agree with the last part. I think most "audiophiles' are actually rational and well-informed people. There's just a couple of ignorant dudes that shout real loud and get heard the most ;)
