Hi Im in a similar position now and was curious as to which option you went for in the end and your conclusions on your end purchase.

So I should still demo the sc-lx57 and maybe Yamaha RXA1030, my previous amp was an onkyo 875 which has served me well so I dont want to be seen as downgrading.

No never changed it, from what I've read they have capacitor problems

I'm looking at spending no more than £700

Anybody any ideas which way I should go, currently have an onkyo 875 and b&w mt60 speakers but my onkyo has had 2 hdmi inputs go down and I'm thinking now may be a good time for a change.

I can see this is an old post but just having same problem, system worked fine for over 2 years then had to disconnect everything while decorating since reconnecting ( yes it's all back correctly) had this issue when trying to view my purchased iTunes films. Have tried swapping all my hdmi...
