This is obviously months on but I have had two Canton soundbases & struggled with the remotes for both. I have just (24h ago) taken delivery of a Chinese compatible remote (from eBay) & it is working flawlessly. I think on the evidence so far the remotes are the problem; I am keeping fingers...
