Just from what I have read. I am in UK. There appears to be a lot of confusion about how you get BBC1. So from What people are saying here if I get the latest Samsung such as the QE43Q60C I will be able to get BBC1 without using an app.

Thanks for info, others are talking about a set top Freeview box. Samsung TV Plus appears to be there main system. I suppose I will not know for sure until I get a Samsung and try.

I need a new television but note Samsung do not use Freeview Play. I have an aerial how do you get BBC1 without an app? Keith

Panasonic TX43LX800B Nice picture and price but one major problem: It is very slow to react to the remote control. Even turning it on it is slow. Then locks you out completely. There are various reports over the internet that this is a problem. Perhaps What Hi Fi would like to test it.
