It also boils down to genre of music. I listen to a lot of heavy bands with busy drummers some of which do a ferocious double bass. Without a bit of a thump from a sub it just doesn't sound enough exciting. I personally don't rely heavily on my sub, but do like having it..
Sound is clearer and more detailed, i suppose all kind of stuff goes through the router, which is well busy. Makes sense separating the audio, so i'm glad i followed my mates advise, less than 20 quid.. can't go wrong really..
I've been using a NAS for the last 7-8 years connected to my router. It never occurred to me that sound may suffer that way until a friend of mine suggested recently that i should get a separate network switch and thus isolate the NAS as well as the Network streamer. I did and can definitely say...
I can see your point about the knobs, i never seem to use mine but on some 80's or 70's recordings unless properly remastered i guess you might have to, otherwise it does sound a bit flat.. Stuff recorded in the last 20 years or so should have no such needs. I employ a downfiring 8'' REL sub...
The DX3pro is also an excellent headphone amp and a Bluetooth receiver. It supports ldac as well as aptx hd, meaning you get quite a bit for the money.. 👍
I have the NAD C352BEE and have thought about upgrading many times, but unless you spent north of a grand im not sure you'll get much more.. Its a really good amp. The PM6006 does have a dac and will sound different but not sure better..
I had a similar dilemma how to connect my tv to my analog NAD amp.. Also the optical on my tv developed a fault, so i got an hdmi to optical/coaxial little box from amazon called Easycell and used the hdmi arc on the tv.. then from its other side the optical to my soundbar and the coaxial to a...
Hi, as a fellow metalhead i would advise against B&W as imo they are too nice and relaxed for serious distorted guitar riffing. I use jbl and nad combo, but thinking of upgrading in a years time once we move. I personally would give monitor audio a go, they even had Tony Iommi advertising their...
I meant that 100 for a psu is a bit pricy since i only paid 160 for the dac, though pleasantly surprised by how good it is for the money.. Will watch it defo, thanks 👍
