Speakers to pair with Mission Cyrus One

Hi I'm just in the process of re-building an old Goldring Lenco GL75.which will be coupled to a Mission cyrus One Amp. I have quite an extensive vinyl collection ranging from the 50;s through to the present day (Elvis, Beatles, Led Zep, Bowie, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan etc etc) I;m...

    RP6 Cartridge

Well after all that and a bit of digging around I got drawn to the Goldring Lenco GL75 and the LencoHeaven website. I think the possibility of ending up with a pretty decent turntable and something a bit personal appealed so I took the plunge and picked one up from fleabay for £80. First...

    RP6 Cartridge

I've done a fair bit of digging around and the Denon ML110 certainly appears to be a good cartridge. At the moment, based on what I've read so far, I'm warming towards the Nagaoka MP-200 which I assume I can put on either the RP3 or RP6. I think anything above the MP-200 is probably going a...

    RP6 Cartridge

I believe the RP40 is based on the RP3, with an Elys40 cartridge. Nor sure how the Elys40 stacks up, so my preference at the moment would be the RP3 or RP6. I can afford the RP3 new or one of the RP6 seconds which are being sold. If it was to be the RP6, I wouldn't buy it without seeing it...

    RP6 Cartridge

£200-300 would be a reasonable ballpark figure, possibly a bit more.

    RP6 Cartridge

Now that I've decided to purchase the Rega Brio-R, the next step is to start thinking about an ugrade to my existing turntable which is a Project Debut III fitted with an Ortofon 2M red cartridge. My first option is the Rega RP3 fitted with a Goldring 1012GX, but I am also considering the RP6...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

Will do. It's probably a couple of months away as I need to complete my half of the deal with my other half  Still, I don't mind being bribed if it means getting my HiFi the way I want it. Considering all the constraints I have, (autistic son, awkward shaped sitting room etc), I'm...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

In which case the Brio-R becomes a no brainer  I would have liked to have heard the Exposure, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere near to me where I could audition it (if I managed to find the time). Hi-FiOutlaws comments was just the info I needed to help make my mind up. Thanks...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

Hi Matthew Thank you for the suggestion about the Exposure 1010. Out of interest, do you use a phono pre-amp with the Exposure? and if so, which model.

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

I must admit there doesn't seem to be very much written about the Exposure 1010, but what there is seems to indicate that this is a pretty decent amp. It's definitely got my interest and I was wondering if anyone has any experience of the Exposure 1010 with Q-Accoustic 2020i's. I also need to...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

Also, does the Marantz PM6005 have HT bypass?

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

Having given some thought to this, I was thinking that I may be better off getting an integrated amp with ht bypass / unity gain as well. The primary focus of the amp would still be vinyl, but I would then have the option of using the pre-outs from the RX-A3010 for watching movies and listening...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

I must admit I'm favouring the Rega Brio-R at the moment. Would I be able to connect the pre outs from the RX-A3010 to one of the line inputs on the Brio for listening to Flac files and CD?

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

In this case my preference would be to concentrate purely on the vinyl and not worry too much about the digital inputs. All the CD's have been ripped to the media server as flac files and get listened to during the day. Once the evening comes and I can sit down, I'll always go for the records...

Recommend an amp for Q-Accoustics 2020i

My record collection consists of over 1000 LPs going back to the lates 50's to the present day and covering a wide range of genres and all originals (e.g Rock, Blues, Soul, Punk, Disco etc). I do currently stream music from the media server and listen to CD's, but have always preferred vinyl...
