What was the outcome of sending the machine back to Panasonic? I ask because I'm looking for a new blu ray player and the 500 features on my shortlist of prospective purchases!

Replacement Elicit R received last week and running in. No problems so far and I am especially pleased with the phono stage on this amp. My RP3 is absolutely flying and I have been rummaging through the old vinyl collection and rediscovering all manner of wonders! Absolutely love this amp!

Update on my overheating Rega Elicit R. My dealer, Sound Organisation in York rang Rega first thing this morning. Rega accept that something is amiss with my amp and have dispatched a replacement to arrive tomorrow. First class response all round and fingers crossed the next Elicit is trouble...

Yes it is - to great sonic improvement. Damn Elicit just this second tripped out again! This time after 2 hours listening. Looks like this one is heading back to Rega!!!

Dealer is shut today but sent them an e mail to put them on notice. Will ring first thing!

Hi Rega Planar 3, Naim CD5XS, Flatcap XS and B&W 685s. It all sounds amazing (when it's not cutting out!).

I have it on a Target stand and have even moved it one shelf down and removed the shelf above in order to allow the hot air rising to escape more easily. It seems to be behaving today. I've had it running for two hours at half volume and no cut out yet. Hope I've not jinxed it by saying that...
