Subwoofers Overly Quiet and Keeps Going into Standby at Low Volume Listening

Yeah, hooked them up with a single RCA cable to each for the R/L preout and that did seem to help, I also flipped the phase from 0° to 180° and that too added volume. I'm still gonna try speaker level/high level connections because I noticed on my last set up when I did that the volume of the...

Subwoofers Overly Quiet and Keeps Going into Standby at Low Volume Listening

Thank you very much for the reply, but I'm confused. I have a single "Pre Out" RCA R/L (2 port white and red) on my amplifier. Each subwoofer has a "Line In" RCA R/L (2 port white and red) input. I am plugging one sub into each of the Pre Out ports, which as you put it would have the signal...

The last purchase for your hifi ever?!

Well... Got in the last two weeks JBL L-100's 75th Anniversary Speakers Technics SU-R1000 Integrated Amplifier Musetec LKS MH-DA005 DAC So I should be good for the next 10-15yrs I hope 😂 But I am eyeballing the new McIntosh Solid State Mono Blocks... Maybe I'll wait on those.

Subwoofers Overly Quiet and Keeps Going into Standby at Low Volume Listening

Hello, Just got a new Integrated amplifier (Technics SU-R1000) and have dual stereo subwoofers connected via the preout R/L RCA connections (RCA Y-splitter at each Line In R/L connection) on my KEF 12b sub's. While listening at low volume my subwoofers keep going into standby mode and turn...

    Amplifier

So far its my dual CA 851w's that I monoblock bridge. Two's better then one, but I'd love to get an CA Edge amplifier someday.

Question Cambridge Audio 851A&851N vs EVO150

The all in one units are tempting, but I'm still enjoying the hunting and choosing of separate components. The CA EVO 150 though I inherently like, but up against the CA 851a and 851n I feel like it would be too close to call. Then again their price is essentially the same when compared, so if...

Question Cambridge Audio 851A&851N vs EVO150

Any preamplifiers you recommend? I'm definitely a fan of Cambridge Audio Azur/Edge line as far as sound goes. $2,500-4,500 Range: Parasound Halo JC 2 BP NAD M12 Anthem STR (Used) McIntosh C49

Wireless, active speakers - alternatives to KEF LSX?

What about the Q Active? https://www.qacoustics.com/collections/active-speakers I've always heard good things, but have yet to try. I do love my LS50 Meta's.

Question Cambridge Audio 851A&851N vs EVO150

Again if there's any / downsides to running an integrated amplifier into a power amplifier I'm all ears, but I'm just scratching my head on this one. Is the Rotel that bad, or the Cambridge audio that good? As of right now I'm leaning towards the Cambridge audio being that good.

Question Cambridge Audio 851A&851N vs EVO150

I would probably bet against the EVO over what you have combined. I'm absolutely floored by how good the Azur line is. I have the Gustard X26 Pro DAC -> 851a -> 851w -> KEF LS50 Meta's and KUBE 12b I thought getting a dedicated preamp would be a step up, boy am I wrong so far. I just got the...

    Cooling Solutions for Hifi Gear

Nopiano, you are correct its the amp that generates a bunch of heat. I'll just space them out and not stack them. I was just reading some horror stories about extreme heat cutting into gear life span and don't plan on buying any more equipment for years to come 😉

    Cooling Solutions for Hifi Gear

Appreciate the advice! Thank you! Wife and I are having a house built so it'll be some time (9 months) before the final master listening room setup goes live. Just preplanning it all now, but do have vaulted ceilings in the room which I have no clue how they're gonna change the acoustics.

    Cooling Solutions for Hifi Gear

Thanks, I just broke down and bought all my dream equipment in the last few months. Interesting, so don't put it into a cabinet? I don't have to, I wanted to have everyhting enclosed in a nice AV hutch I have for aesthetic reasons and logistical reasons in my music room/office. But I can come...
