Audiolab 8200cd or Cambridge Audio 851c

Never heard the 651c, but it doesn't have the same DAC chips as the 851c, although i think it still upsamples the signal and has the 3 different filter options.

Audiolab 8200cd or Cambridge Audio 851c

What about the Marantz SA 8005 ? Anyone heard it and compared it with any of these 2 players ? Wonder how much better the Marantz SA 8005 will be compared to my Marantz Cd6005...probably the "sound" won't be much different...

    Best speakers for around £1500

You should try to get some speakers that "go well" with your amplifier...the synergy is what matters in the end *mosking* For example i just got Focal Arias 936...i really liked the results with Arcam...also heard with Naim and i almost hated it *beee*

    Amp for Bowers 684 S2

If you want to use a AVR... You can try also a Pioneer AVR...it works fine with the 684 s2, should give you a more "forward" sound than with the Marantz. But maybe not the best choice for music. You can try maybe a Anthem AVR , it should work well with the 684 s2. And Anthem AVRs are also...

Audiolab 8200cd or Cambridge Audio 851c

Hello, Anyone has compared the sound of the Audiolab 8200cd to a Cambridge Audio 851c , wich are both supossed to have maybe a sound that is neutral/analytic and forward sound ? Do they sound remotely similar ? i am looking for a CD player with maybe a slighty more agressive than my Marantz...
