I'm really not interested much in how things measure. I'd rather trust my ears. Valve Amps measure badly too, but can sound sublime.

It's been a long journey... There's so many great-sounding speakers out there right now.

They are my end-game speakers (retiring soon), so I thought I'd push the boat out. I listened to loads over the past few months and it came down to either Marten Parker Duo's or these. I listened to the Serblins in April and couldn't get them out of my head...

Just bought myself a pair of Franco Serblin Accordo Goldbergs. I set them up last night. The dealer said they would need 70-100 hours run-in on them, but they already sound really good.

Not sure if this counts, but I absolutely love my Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition Amp/Streamer used with Meze Empyreans.

Have a look at the Chord Hugo TT2. Great DAC and Heaphone Amp. It will even power a pair of speakers! Plug your Macbook Pro directly into the TT2, add speakers and off you go! I'd have a look at Audirvana + software and link it to your iTunes library too.

I think the Sugden suggestion is a good shout, and I would definitely consider valves. ProAc's are known to work very well with hot bottles! Something from Icon Audio (who are based in Leicester and great to deal with) or Unison Research (if you want to push the budget a little) could work very...
