More surge stuff. (impulse purchase). I have four tacimas. 1 for the T.V. stuff. 1 for the P.C. stuff. and 2 for the stereos. I truly wish I had not bought them at all. They do not have individual switches, or a master switch. If said thunder storm arrives, I would have to move furniture...

I usually buy quality old cars, and my last one had a radio cassette. I now drive something a little newer, with a CD player. Like many here, we miss mix tapes. So I bought a Tascan CD recorder, just for the car.

Get a super pair of used speakers, for the money. then spray them any colour you like.

About 25 years ago, my mother had an obscene, gigantic Sony CRT. To my amazment, it could throw it's sound, filling the room with multi-channel sound. I can't explain it. But there are some clever guys in Japan.

You could ask your local paint sprayer if he is willing to spray any speakers you choose, Diamond white. He will ask for around £100 -£200. You may have to wait 2-3 days. But you can now choose any speakers, any colours.

I voted black, but as long as it looks expensive, then that's O.K. And big blue lights are splendid. My old casette deck has led vu meters, That's the only reason it's on the rack. I'm sure it will look impressive to my visiters, like my care worker, Have a drink on me. IAN (hee hee).

If you have to nail your speakers to the wall, as I did. Consider B+W CT7.3 (LRCS). Front ported and good value. Maybe a bit bright for some but, the more you turn the up the volume, the better they get. Mine are mounted way up high, 1 meter from the ceiling, (it's complicated)! Not perfect...
