The sound card was the problem. This piece of junk is cutting off low freqs.

They have slightly different frequency response, in fact, FA are more flat at 3-5 kHz. And there are no original FA or Brainwavz cables on russian market. Delivery from US or EU will take a month at least.

There's no crucial difference between foobar ASIO and WMP. The cable is detachable, but it's 6.3 stereo to 2x3.5 mono, not the most popular type.

Just bought this h-phones and I'm very disappointed. Despite of panegyric reviews, it sounds like a grinding machine. Low freqs are depressed, and high are too expressed. The source is ASUS Xonar Essence STX with UNi driver and foobar2000 w/ASIO, flac ~1000 kbps, ape ~1100 kbps. Should I wait...

The similar objective: 40k RUR (~$1000) for CD, amp and acoustics (excluding cables) for The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Yes, classic music. The set for now: Onkyo C-7030 & A-9030 + Wharfedale Diamond 10.2. Is it good? I have no opportunity to listen it before buying, there's no big hi-fi shops in Siberia.
