Really? I've heard other wise but im open to suggestions, what active speakers would you recommend then?

No reason in particular, I would just prefer to have more upgrade opportunity and active doesnt really offer that, is the difference really that much? I've allowed around £600 for speakers, and probably £300 ish for the amp
