So is there no direct way to play music off a mac or phone? What would you suggest to get around this.
I'm heading down to the store next weekend to audition the Planar 1 and Onkyo A9010 with Q Acoustic 3020s vs Wharfedale 220s vs Dali Spektor 2 and potentially trying out Monitor Audio Bronze...
I'm buying a turntable, amp and speakers (Rega Planar 1, Onkyo A9010 and Q-Acoustic 3020s) but I would like to be able to use the speakers easily with other sources like my Mac and Audio Interface for Music Recording. Can anyone reccomend a device that will allow me to easily switch between the...
I'm looking to buy a turntable setup, new to the vinyl scene
I am thinking: Rega Planar 1, Onkyo A-9010, Q-Acoustic 3020
Without pushing a £600 buget, is there anyway I can improve?
I am planning on buying a turntable soon, I'm new to this all. What should I be buying to keep the records and turntable clean, to prolong the life of the records or anything else that is a neccesity when buying a first turntable (Rega RP1). I've read about record cleaning machines and other...
The turntable and amp (just) won't fit on the shelf, the dimensions say I'd need about another 15cm. I may have the turntable or amp raised up (somehow) or fit a smaller shelf above for the amp
I think the way I will do it all is have both speakers on either wall mounts or vertical stands either side of the desk, then wired along to a shelf where I'll have the turntable and amp situated. I'll buy the cable and maybe run that along the wall to behind the desk from the amp and hopefully...
So I could have the amp and turntable on the shelf with speakers either side of the desk? I may want to use headphones if that is possible with the setup, but I need proper speakers, don't want to have headphones as the sole output. Can you usually listen to the vinyl through the integrated amp...
The speaker stand seem a good idea, could the speakers be on the same surface as the turntable if speakers and the turntable were on foam to absorb the vibrations?
Room is a 3.6 x 3.6m square
One side is cupboards from end to end, with a space between the cupboards and door where some shelves are (mentioned above). Side adjacent has the door and a desk with a computer. Side opposite the cupbards has a double bed extending into the room and a side table...
Thanks for bringing this up. I have an 85 x 35 shelf which I originally inteneded to use, but having looked into it, this obviously isn't great for the sound. How else could I arrange speakers? If they are across the room how do you deal with the wires? Could a single speaker be put nearer the...
