Thanks again mate, I find everything audio so confusing for some reason! I'll update once I get the time to set it up.

Connecting stereo speakers to TV vs Soundbar

Thank you! My TV is rather old, so I'm guessing it may have RCA outputs. If this is the case, can I skip the DAC and simply plug the RCA cable from the TV to my AMP? I also just bought a GRAMOFON to use my stereo to stream spotify. Could I somehow use the DAC in the GRAMOFON to improve things?

Connecting stereo speakers to TV vs Soundbar

Hey all, I have a pair of quality stereo speakers (Q Acoustics 2020) near my TV, that I use just for records (using a Rega Brio R amp and Project Carbon turntable). Would these speakers be okay to hook up to my TV, or would I be better off getting a dedicated soundbar? Wondering if I could...

Hey all, I know this sounds very basic, but I can't get my head around it. I've got the basics of what BITS and kHz are, but what are KBPS? Is it related to the BITS or kHz? How does it effect the music? Thanks heaps guys.

"better than what?" I mean, better than simply plugging in my phone or laptop directly into my amp. Thank you!

    Network music player basics

Thank you so much for all the replies. I feel I have the basics, but a LOT more to work out! Is it better to connect a streamer to your own quality amp and speakers, or get something like a SONOS PLAYBAR that seems to do everything? How does a streamer make music from Spotify sound better...

    Network music player basics

Hello guys, I'm rather new to all this, but I listen to a lot of Spotify and iTunes so I thought a network music player (is this just called a streamer?) could be a good option. However, I can't seem to find some basics. I hope you guys could give me a hand! What exactly are they for? (Super...
