it takes trained ears to listen to balanced input IMO. at least I can't. but again, I don't have the brightest ear a bit like copper cable/gold cable change. Personally I think there will be no difference in blind test, but some say one of them have more bass than other

I am thinking about simply plugging the 3.5mm plug into the plug in front. the dac, then connect to computer by USB. will that not work?

it is an Audinst HUD MX-1 a amp+dac for headphones. so does it mean that even if I have a crap soundcard, a good dac will do the job?

that sounds like the same as active speakers for me. no amp needed etc. anyway, one side question. is it nexessary for a good soundcard, if I have a USB DAC/amp? and if I connect the speakers into this thing, will the DAC amp replaces the speaker amp making it disorted or anything like that?

are the active speakers basically 2.0 speakers? will they have enough bass if I listen to rap songs? (big kanye fan here) also, how does it sound difference from normal active speakers? is it good for movies?

I think speakers (and every other things) in Tom Lee is quite overppriced. many choices though. great call!

do you don't recommend swans? or just that you don't have enough information about it to comment about it? actually I study in the UK, but I find electronic things in UK quite expensive (20% more, at least) therefore a bit put off by their price. also, the a2 is quite small, will it be better...
