A guy at work once encouraged me to listen to a load of his CD's and handed me the case they were in to take home....When I returned to work a couple of days later I found that he had quit his job. I never saw him again.

Who else has this lovely phono stage?

I have a Well Tempered Simplex 2 turntable, £1,995 with a £1,800 cartridge. My friend has a Rega Planar 3 with a £50 ish cartridge. Is there a risk that lending him my vinyl will negatively affect the records or likewise, him lending me his will affect my cartridge?

Do you do this? What if your turnrable and stylus cost many times more than the person's you were lending to?

I own a Naim amplifier, bought for about £1,100 eight years ago. Brother says a Cyrus one, £130 on ebay will blow the socks of amps costing thousands.

Any other Russell K owners here? I have the Russell K red 50s.

How does it stack up to todays amps? My brother is repeatedly telling me it us the best amp ever made and will blow the socks of a £6k amp today.

I bet the Amadeus was a serious jump up in listening experience?

I currently have a Panasonic Vierra LCD TV, Freesat, which still has a good picture and must be over 15yrs old. It is a 32 inch screen and located on a corner unit in my living room. I am consudering a new TV for a superior picture, although I only watch minimal TV. I am reluctant to buy a TV...

Not that it needs servicing at the mo. He just mentioned that in time it will require it.
