    Aesthetic System matching

How about Pathos Endorphine, Devialet Le400, Kronos Sparta and Wilson Benesch Discovery 2. A bit showy maybe? but all beautiful and interesting designs.

Do I need a DAC to get Hi fi sound from my PC?

A far as getting the best signal from the PC, I think connecting the HDMI to your amp and sending the video, audio and stereo music files that way will result in the highrst quality you can get. If you haven't already I strongly recommend re-recording all you music in AIFF if you want to use...

Do I need a DAC to get Hi fi sound from my PC?

You might not need a DAC. If you have an optical or coax output on the PC you could connect directly to the Denon amp and use the on board DAC. If you can borrow a DAC from somewhere you could try the USB DAC against the Denon and see which you prefer.

    Naim Audio vs Cambridge Audio

I've never tried them against each other but i personal own a 272 which, IMO is not far away from the 282 in pre amp performance. The streamer seems to sit soemwhere between the ND5XS amd the NDX. Hope that's of some help.

    B&W MM1`s running hot ?

They do run quite warm. I'm not sure but the amp may be using the aluminium plate as a heatsink. If you're worried that they are running too hot, speak to B&W who might yake a look at them for you. Barry

Replacing M-1 centre speaker with htm61 series 2

I would try to borrow one from a local dealer and see if it works for you. The HTM61S2 is a way better speaker than an M-1 which should vastly improve vocal reproduction. The question is, will it work with the rest of the system? You may need to fiddle around with the cross over and level...

    Turntable museum?

This is a great idea and something we hadn't thought of, although the cost of a room at some shows my be prohibitive.

    Turntable museum?

Apart from selling vinyl, we do all of the other tings you mentioned at the moment. Selling vinyl is something that a few people have mentioned, but we have a superb local record shop around the corner and we simply couldn't match their inventory or knowledge. Plus we really like them and...

    Turntable museum?

I'm sure we must have one somewhere. It's a shame we missed the chance t add the new Technics to the collection, if only they'd made more.

    Turntable museum?

It could maybe be expanded to include other hifi in the future but I'm not sure we would have the space or money to create a full audio museum. Each week there would be a conteporary system playing with one of the turntables so there would be some older hifi on show.

    Turntable museum?

That's exactly what it will be, it's not about making money it's just purely for the love of turntables.

    Turntable museum?

The Linn would be well represented and may even have it's own section. The museum would be a room next to our shop so we can provide coffee but cakes may be a bit of a stretch I think. Separating the belt and direct drive decks is an interesting idea thst I'll certainly raise. Thanks

    Turntable museum?

I'm not sure if this is breaking forum rules or not but here it goes. The owner of our company has always been a bit turntable mad and has amassed a large collection (over 150) of turntables over the years. The turntables range from mass market, but important to represent in a collection i.e...

Wifi audio vs 3,50 analog line in audio

I disagree. I did experiments with different lossless formats a while ago, all through the same system and using the same computer to record the track. Myself and a colleague both heard differences between the formats.

Adding Hifi to home cinema with Yamaha Receiver...Help Please.

The outputs from your Yamaha amp are a fixed level stereo output so unfortunatley you won't be able to run a second amp as you wnated to. The only solution I can see is to change the A/V amp I'm afraid. Barry
