hey, good luck finding someone with experience of the yamaha cd/streamer....I have asked on a number of forums without reply....surley someone has bought one and would like to tell people their thoughts?? also, if as someone mentioned, this is discontinued...surley that does not render it...

Thanks audioaddict...I am hoping someone with the yamaha cd n500 can come here and give a review...esp if they have had it a while now. I have a squeezebox but wondered if this would be an upgrade in sound quality as a number of other streamers are outside my budget... cheers

Yes, old post back to life...as still pertinent...to me anyway. I was just wondering what people thought of the yamaha cd streamer...was it any good? How does it compare to SBT? There is not much info out there.

How does this compare with squeezebox touch? Is there any improvement in SQ? Is the app as easy to use as the squeezebox ones? Have you noticed in issues that would put someone off buying? I am considering the yamaha, but may just get a dac for SBT? What do you think? Cheers for any thoughts.

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately, living in the wilds of highland scotland, not much scope for popping down to listening rooms or hi fi store. CDs are all ripped to flac and streamed to squeezebox. Currently have no disc spinner but all my Cds still in situ, so thought maybe combine a disc...

hello Mostly stream to Squueze Touch at the minute but want a wee upgrade. Have chance of the Nad 565 Bee which i reckon I can use for discs and attach Touch via optical digital and play through Nad dac (correct me if I am wrong or stupid). Alternatively, I can go for the yamaha cd/streamer...
