    Bristol.....

Just spent ages doing a review of the show only to find the site had a 'fault' and I couldn't post. All good anyway. Oh Vlad, xxxxxxxx. Soon. There really is nothing worse than a cowardly keyboard warrior. Edited by MODERATOR: We'll draw the line at wishing people dead please.

    Which Blu-Ray Player for Music

I have a Denon ud-1611 performing CD duties, it does very well either through the Supernait DAC or its own - I plumped for its own due to better treble but there wasn't much in it. If you have an amp with a great internal DAC I would just get one of the better-looking Pioneer, Denon or Marantz...

Why so many LG OLEDs this year?

Range looked quite straightforward...the current 930 is a 55" Full HD panel, then there are 55" 4k in flat or curved, 65" 4k in flat or curved, 77" flat and the all-singing all-dancing 77" with the big speakers :)

    How good is OLED!

Would like to hear more from Gel on the picture quality with different sources...I really fancy the 930 it looks fab on demos but I haven't seen it showing the same demo up against the 4k Samsungs Sonys etc. my sources would be - Denon (as below) bluray and DVD upscaled to 1080p freeview HD...

    Cambridge Audio Minx XI Opinion

You will always get support from Richer Sounds branches but I think it's just that CA don't have the same software resources as Naim or Linn for example. If they just updated the app so that shuffle works we would all be laughing! I tried this again last night, at first shuffle wouldn't work...

    Cambridge Audio Minx XI Opinion

Hi Homey I thought I would just reply to your post as the OP has probably long since moved on or purchased...I've had a Stream Magic 6 for more than 2 years now and agree with everything you say...wonderful sound but frustrating and frankly rubbish software. To shuffle your entire library, try...

Article on the vinyl comeback and pressing plants

I attend 'Vinyl Night' run by the most northern branch of Audio T in Preston, Lancs. The staff there do this in their own time and play a classic album all the way through. Like the London event, 'Dark Side Of The Moon' garnered a round of applause when it completed. Systems from £2k to £50k...

    CM8 vs PMC 23 vs ProAc D18s

I just want to say, this thread is hilarious...! But very interesting to a CM1 owner looking to upgrade to CM8 or similar small floorstanders, cheers guys

    Streaming options

Hi Theo Out of the 4 I would definitely say go the NAS/music streamer option. Simple storage with a DAC (generally) doesn't allow you to control what's played very well, also it will be very 'faffy' to use. The mini-computer etc. is one option but you're still left with it booting up, the...

CA Stream Magic 6 -- Review Discrepancy

Hi all. This is perhaps a little unfair on the SM6 - it does sound fabulous and has a good few uses, however there are some problems: It seems to be fussy over ID tags. I had a big problem with Apple Lossless files transferred from my iTunes library and had to re-rip a number of CDs to FLAC...

    Replacing my current system

If you buy a pair of 'active' speakers this should give you everything you need. These go from around £200 in the UK (Cambridge Audio, Audioengine, Quads as mentioned above etc.). Many have a USB input and built-in DAC so you can run your PC straight into them. You can then access internet...
