Hegel has a reputation for excellent amplifiers. I can never understand why they don't also offer cheaper stripped down amps without streamers.

With any good Marantz amp I'd recommend Stirling Ls3/5a V2's or Focal Aria 906. I have yet to hear better at any price.

CD is the perfect sound apparently, because its pure digital. Although some people don't like CD because it's too perfect. And you can even eat your dinner off Cd's, much more durable than vinyl and easier to store.
