    Samsung UE55ES8000 function Sound

Hi Simon, The issue isn't with the soundbar, that works perfectly, I have the TV sound turned down to 0 and moderate the volume using the soundbar but the function bleep volume is independent of TV volume, so it comes through the soundbar at a level Ted Nugent would be proud of.

    Samsung UE55ES8000 function Sound

I’ve just bought the above and use a sound bar but then you adjust anything, change channels, go into the menus etc it makes the most deafening bleep to confirm the change, I can’t find a menu to adjust this sound can anyone help as my ears are starting to bleed!!!!

    Galaxy S3

As already stated it is unbelievably fast, however I have a couple of issues: The gimmick that it keeps powered on while you are looking at it doesn't work and more importantly but no Samsungs fault Naim don't have an Android version of n-Stream available

    Streamer prices going downstream?

I agree with the comment regarding a CD player on the Uniti, I initially planned to buy one but on reflection I realised that once I had put all my music onto a hard drive I wouldn't (and don't) need a CDP.

    Getting back into Hi-Fi

Hi, I went through this process before Christmas ands like you thought I NEEDED Airplay as I had c300gig of iTunes music, alas I found that everything I had other than the ALAC files were too compressed to play on the new setup, so for your money as the previous post says concentrate on...

    Panasonic or Panasonic

Now you have made me need something I never thought I wanted, there must be a word for that (other than greed). Alas I live up north so the trip to deepest Surrey is out of the question for tomorrow, I may have to cut pictures of the GT30 out of magazines and just obsess about what could have been.

    Panasonic or Panasonic

Yes it's for the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area, I'm moving house and want to upgrade my current TVs which at 42" & 37" feel a little small now and as you can get a decent 50" for £500 its a bit of a no brainer

    Panasonic or Panasonic

Thanks for the response, I'll be using the TV for just watching standard and Freeview HD, I plan to wait till the new VT50-55 is out to get that as my main TV, though reading this afternoons review of the Samsung UE46ES8000, I was a little surprised it rated so highly "Class Leader"???, I though...

    Panasonic or Panasonic

I'm looking for a spare TV and would like an opinion on whether I should go for last years TX-P50S30 or this years TX-P50X50B as both cost about the same amount but last years is 1080p and this years is only 720p, though this years set looks aesthetically better as the bezel is much smaller.

Synology and setting up media content...

Welcome to the world of the NAS drive. If you only have one volume set up you are not on RAID1 and you will loose all data when you reformat, it's OK I did the same You'll know if its a single drive as it will say that you have say 3G of free space as opposed to say 2 x 1.5G. Have fun!

Kate Bush 50 Words For Snow 96KHz/24bit

A well trodden debate but vinyl: cleaning; turning; storing, not for me. Anyway I haven't got a deck and I sold all my records, so that's an end to that!!!!

    High End Streaming System Advice

I've got a Cyrus AV system but didn't audition their streamers, I did audition Linn and found it a little lean for my taste but far better than Chord. See my post "Blank Canvas" BTW I too thought I would go for a one box solution but quickly realised why the Naim Superuniti was cheaper than...
