I'd avoid icube, paint quality and finish isn't the best and the customer service is non existent. Check out their reviews. I've got two of the units and the paint has flaked on both. Kallax are much better value for money as are the glorious record box range.

You should have digital out on by default, but if you have selected audio ex in the sound mode menu, it turns the digital outputs off.

I've got pretty much the same product, but it's branded as air music, easy to set up and streams really well. I tried it using the headphone out jack to the Amp but it sounds better using toslink to my dac magic 100.

Had the same experience last November when my Arcam CD192 packed up again, was totally fed up of it. I decided to replace with a Marantz CD6005 and it's more enjoyable to my ears than the Arcam and was over £500 cheaper, plus I no longer worry about which CD will play and which will skip.
