Well I've had my gt60 50" for 2 months now and yes the excellent reviews are spot on. Gone back to THX Cinema as I find it truer to natural source material. I also find warm is rather unnatural and find normal and even cool more pleasing to the eyes. The big problem is false contouring image on...
I'm seriously considering buying this tv very soon and if it is the same spec as in the review for the W6 range then I will. The reason being in 18mths-2years time I plan to get a Sony 4K once they dispense of the speakers, come down in price and native content and disc format is sorted across...
I have a similar problem. Was going to buy Sony w900a but I find the limited viewing angles and odd contrast when I auditioned in store a put off. I'm prepared to shell out over £3000 for the Sony X9005a 4K but the price I feel cannot be justified as reviews are going these sets less than...
Sony usual have their cashback offer running mid-Oct to Christmas Eve. Thing is, is it worth taking advantage of or waiting until next Spring for new products? The 853 was announced in Jan, not released until June. Makes you wonder if the next generation of Bravia have already been almost...
Was going to buy 55" HX853 when Sony announce their cashback offer soon. The 55" HX953 is due for release 1 Nov. Worth hanging on for? Still not convinced about the current 6 degree viewing angle. Any thoughts?
Thanks for the reply. Get what you mean now. Hadn't thought of the tv upscaling. Thought it was done by external hardware. Just check if the the Sony logo still illuminates and I think the 55' 853 is the way to go. After September of course. Probably get a free PS3 or blu rays or glasses for...
Sorry for being thick but are you talking about USB or internet upscaling? The DVD or blu ray players are always used to upscale DVD. Surely thay are not putting a DVD slot in the side of the TV?
Was all set for a top of range Panasonic until the reviews of Sony 853 & 753. But what is this " so-so DVD upscaling " mean? I currently play all DVD via sony blu ray into a w4000 set. Is it true to say that these sets are excellent in all but SD sources? I watch alot of old analogue material...
