The Ortofon 2M range are supposed to be an ideal starter for the Rega based arms, only had the 2M Red, found it a bit bright. The 2M Black on the other hand was lovely. Thanks for the advice

Probably around 1k which would include speakers, amp and source, that should get you a nice entry level system that sounds really good. For another jump in quality after that you would probably need to triple that budget. Digital and analogue do sound different whether you think one is better...

I was massively underwhelmed by the sondek considering its price. I demoed several other cheaper TTs that just sounded much better IMO.

Hi, I had exactly the same problem with my PM6004. I swapped my amp with Richer sounds and the problem was solved. The tweeters are now silent when music is not being played as they should be. I know how annoying this can be so hopefully as someone else said it is just a bad batch of amps...

Great album! Think the overall madness of 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway' would just edge ahead as my favourite Genesis album though. mmmm love the prog
