    Sharp LED backlit TV LE700E

The US version has networking like the LG TVs that we don't get over here. Read on another forum that someone saw one in a shop and wasn't that impressed. Sharp is usually associated with banding.

    Thunder Flies behind lcd Screen

Do you mean Fruit Flies - the tiny ones that hang around your home brew wine? They are really annoying, my tomato plants attract them.

Why did the Sony STR-DA 2400ES only get 4 stars for features?

Why do Denon use the same horrible remote?

Why did the Sony STR-DA 2400ES only get 4 stars for features?

I'd be interested in the Sony STR-DA3500ES for US vs UK specs. The 3300ES and 3400ES in N. America had zone 2/separate remote for Zone 2/12v trigger. All we get in the UK is a blank plate where they should be meaning to get the above features you had to buy a 5300ES or 5400ES for that year...

    Benefits of vinyl??

Click...pop...Click...pop...Click...pop...Click...pop...etc. I still have a collection of vinyls that I don't use as I sold my Technics deck ages ago. The covers are better than CD's but there are too many dis-advantages. Your Dog chases a toy on the floor whilst a record is playing and the...

Effect of cables on digital *quality*

When a document is sent over the internet, protocols are used. If they don't add up at the other end then the error received bytes of data are sent again. You can use cheap cables with computers but without any handshaking it would never work. You can't do that with a live feed, only error...

Since when Primare product manufacture in china ?

Wharfedale - owned by a Chinese company, built in China and I think designed in China. Don't know if they employ British engineers. They've just been swallowed up. Wharfedale, Quad, AudioLab, Mission,Castle Acoustics + loads more are owned by IAG (International Audio Group) who are Chinese...

Effect of cables on digital *quality*

Are all your posts as misleading and fanciful? Cause not, cable discussions again. Gort1951 is the year "The Day The Earth Stood Still" was made and a classic movie, I don't know why they bother with re-makes. War of the Worlds and The Time Machine are cult movies. I didn't steal the hdmi...

Effect of cables on digital *quality*

Just want to say that I never really paid £50 for a 1M USB cable. I'm not brain-washed with hype and specs. I have an 1.5 M hdmi cable that I paid £2 for, my mate has an 1M £85 hdmi cable. I switched his cable for mine, no difference with audio and video. (I haven't even told him yet)...

Effect of cables on digital *quality*

Nevertheless... with the numbers above in mind, it stands against any logical reasoning that one USB cable against another can create any measurable let alone audible difference in the sound produced by the DAC. I am almost tempted to launch a £10,000 challenge on this. ;-) SNOREvante...

I've returned a few tvs. 3 year tv from Asda when they did their 3yr warranty - went wrong two weeks before warranty was about to expire - honest ! 8 month tv from Argos. 2 x tvs from internet site. About a month. 2 from Woolworth. 2 months. One day for other. There's probably more but...

Effect of cables on digital *quality*

I bought a £50 USB cable after reading a 5 star review. The pictures transfered from my digital camera are far better. There are more colors, details I couldn't notice before, the images are sharper and it even transfers the images in nearly half the amount of time than my old cable. It's...
