As you said in the last paragraph, plasctic penguin was suggesting to keep the neo and connect it to the tv via a dac. It's real annoying that the neo does not have an optical in otherwise I could just connect it directly to the tv.

I'm thinking of buying a marantz nr1200 system to replace an arcam solo neo so I can connect it to my tv. I'm wondering if I can connect this to a cheap cd player and use the dac on the system instead of the player. Also how would the sound of this system compare to the neo. Thanks, Garry
